Kite Reflection (6-D): February 4, 2013
1. My strokes were all going the same way and I think that it looks more professional that way. I made sure that all the strokes were going up and down beccause looks better that way.
2. I could have done my design better and tried to cut better because I got frustrated and went with an easy design and my cutting is not very good.
3. The theme of my kite is my pattern. I have a rhythm and a pattern because I have the same design for each thing but some of them are going different ways. I didn't really have an idea, I just kind of thought the design looked cool so that is why I did it that way.
4. I used a triangle for my kite because I had a guarntee that that shape flies and I just wanted to play it safe.
5. I used blue, green, and violet for my kite. My major color family is the cool colors. I did it that way because I thought they went well together and I liked it like that.
6. Altogether, I think to build a kite you need to have focus and you need to not get frustratd easily. I liked using Tyvek because it didn't rip but I was nervouse using sharpies because they bleed through and I didn't want to make a big mistake then have to start all over.
7. I learned that I need to just take a deep breath and calm down when I get frustrated. I also learned that I get frustrated very easily. You just need to take your time and nothing is perfect, you just have to give it your all, always remember that.
8. I cut my Tyvek first. Second, I colored it. Third, I cut my wing and tails. Fourth, I cololred them. Fifth, I put it together. Sixth, I taped everything togethere and put the sticks on. No, it wasn't planned I just thought that was the easiest way to do it. I faced a lot of challenges and got very frustrated.
9. I didn't like this project because I'm not good at building and cutting. I just got very frustrated and it scares me that if it doesn't fly, I'll fail. For me, it wasn't a favorite, sorry.
